This was the first TLK fiction I ever wrote. It was written a couple years ago and it's quite crap-tastic. But I just thought I'd show everyone where I started off, because I'm writing a large fanfic that I plan to post bits and peices of soon.

Zira paced through the cave, thinking hard. A pure black lion cub cowered at her side, green eyes filled with fear and sadness. "M-mommy?" the cub asked quietly.
"What?!" Zira snapped, turning to glare at the cub with crimson red eyes.
"I.. I wish Daddy was still alive," the cub replied, gazing sadly at her paws.
Zira roared, and, claws unsheathed, striked the cub's back. She raised her now bloody paw and glared at the cub in disgust. She began to cry. "Shut up!" Zira snarled, raising her paw as if to strike the cub again.
"M-mom," the cub choked. "Why don't you like me?"
"You're worthless, Sombolia!" Zira yelled in reply. "Worthless and ugly, and you'll never amount to anything." And with that, Zira stalked angrily from the cave, leaving the cub alone.
Sombolia looked around the termite infested cave, and began crying again. She hated being here, but Zira would never let her leave. She wished her father, Scar, was still alive. He had always preferred her over Nuka, and because of that, Zira hated her. Because she wasn't really Zira's daughter. She didn't know WHO her real mom was. Her father hadn't told her. But she hadn't cared, because when they had lived at Pride Rock, Scar had protected her from that wretch Zira. But Simba had thrown her father over the side of Pride Rock and left for the hyenas. As many lives as Simba had saved, he had made many miserable. Banishing them to the Outlands. What had Sombolia ever done to deserve this punishment?
As she thought of this, her stomach rumbled. Zira only fed her when she felt like it. Every so often she'd get a few termites and a bit of water, if she was lucky, a scrap of meat. Her thoughts wandered back to Nuka.. how she hated him! She was careful not to cross his path. Everytime she was unfortunate enough to do so, he spat at her or kicked dirt in her eyes. Jealous. Nuka was jealous of EVERYONE. As for Kovu, Zira's new cub - well, she never really talked to him. Often he was off with Zira, which Sombolia was perfectly happy with. Vitani was her only real friend. When Zira wasn't around, Vitani would sneak her food and the two would play. But if they got caught... Zira would send Vitani off and punish Sombolia.
Oh, how she longed to be free! To be out of this place, to be on her own... she began to cry harder, and didn't notice when Vitani entered the cave.
"Som, what's the matter?! Has Mother been hurting you again?" she asked, narrowing her eyes.
Sombolia nodded sadly, then asked, "Vit.. where IS Mom?"
"She went hunting, and took Kovu and Nuka with her. So we're all alone... why?" the blue eyed cub asked suspiciously.
"Oh.." the dark furred cub replied. "Because... Vitani... I'm gonna leave. For good."
"What?!" Vitani asked. "Are you nuts? You'll starve!"
"Like I'm not already? I've made up my mind. While she's gone, I'm leaving, and I'm never coming back."
"Where will you go?" Vitani asked, eyes expressing concern.
"I don't know, but I can't stay here. Why don't you come with me?"
"I dunno Sombolia..."
"Well I'M going," Sombolia replied stubbornly.
Vitani frowned. "Well... good luck! And hurry, Mother'll be back soon."
"Thanks Vitani," Sombolia said quietly, and with that, she ran out of the cave, and past the Outland's border.
Never to return.

You think that's crappy? My gosch you have no idea just how disturbing and wrong fanfics can be lol About a year after TLK came out I started playing out ff type things in my head and....well...There's a reason why they've never been written down. Without going into too much detail.... Simba and Nala discover a little abandoned male cub----->not so disturbing ...That they call Johnathan......--->VERY disturbing I later changed his name to Blaze---->sigh of relief Blaze is a pretty cool person/lion--->Nothin wrong there ...who's on his highschool swim team...--->GASP!  ...and wears blue speedos---> YOU SICK FREAK!!! ...and he has a rock band, and a- STOP!! STOP IT NOW!!!!Needless to say I've moved on from that stage in my life of fanfiction and I avoid anthros whenever possible (except for this really cool new reality show  ) Thank you for your time and please come again! ;D |
