Well, Simba said this was the place for "hardcore" TLK chat, so why don't we just do that? I've always wanted to carry out a conversation like this with some actually literate people, and well... you guys are literate enough  (Haha, just kidding... I don't consider myself literate  ) 1) Who do you think Nala's father is? 2) Who do you think Kovu's father is? 3) Where was Zira during TLK1? 4) Where did all those Outlander lionesses come from? 1) Though I've been in denial about it, it's most likely her father is Mufasa. I didn't notice this myself, but someone said when either of them gets upset they stick out their lower lip. A family trait, perhaps? 2) Kovu's father... well, Nuka said it wasn't Scar, but they look way smililar. However, Chumvi, from the TLKFAA books, looks alot like Kovu as well... 3) I disagreeumption is that we just never saw her... however it's possible that she joined the Pride shortly before Scar's death... then again, if that was true, why'd she believe so strongly in Scar? Hmm... 4) It's possible that they were a group of rogues Zira assembled, however, I like to think they were Pride lionesses before they switched sides... Feel free to post any of your other TLK opinions here, maybe we could get a friendly debate goin'... |

1) I am happy to think Mufasa, it's natural for a male in the Pride to father cubs off all the lionesses  ... 2) Kovu's father is most probably a rogue lion, who visited the Outlands and mated with Zira. 3) Zira may have been an Outlander, who Scar invited to live in the Pride Lands, along with other Outlander lionesses. When Scar died, Zira probably ran off back to the Outlands, along with the other lionesses Scar had invited from the Outlands. 4) As my answer to question three states, they were possibly living in the Outlands before Scar, then came into the Pride Lands, then left again when Scar died. |

Yeah, I'm thinking it's Mufasa... we even have an offical source... but he said "It's Mufasa... or Scar." That helps alot  Yeah, probably... I still think Chumvi looks alot like Kovu though =P But I thought the Outlands didn't exsist before Simba banished them... Zira even said they were banished there... and she obviously hated it, why would she if she was living there by choice? |

well, i don't realy like these kind of question, but why not... 1) Who do you think Nala's father is? I think that Mufasa is. He would in natural, but in TLK it isn't important so why should we care ? 2) Who do you think Kovu's father is? I think that the only possibility is Scar, even if he isn't his son (strange huh ?). If not Scar, then who ? But it isn't important so I don't care ;-) 3) Where was Zira during TLK1? She wasn't anywhere. She 'magicaly' turned up in TLK2 becosue the guys at Disney haven't had a good idea. 4) Where did all those Outlander lionesses come from? From outlands  but seriously... they had to be born when Scar was the king, but it also leaves many questions... In my opinion TLK2 was / is far to be perfect, and that's why we ask those questions. In TLK 1 everything (maybe exept Nala) is logical and ... ok. But in TLK 2 ? Ah.. no need to waste more words...  |

Hmm... 1. I'd hafta go against the 'official' story say random rouge. Why? Well the 'official' story was given in such a matter than suggested the thought never crossed their minds. There was really no other answer that could be given. That doesnt mean it is the best explanation. 'Random rouge' just makes more sense to me. 2. Who knows? Strangely, I get the feeling not even Zira  3. Elsewhere, perhaps? Taking care of some kind of buisness? Perhaps she was having Kovu, and returned only to find Scar's mangled carcass? 4. Many suggest the same 'elsewhere' as their origin, but lemme drop another theory: I theorize that after Simba's return, many lionesses who submitted to Scar were branded 'collaborators' and banished en masse. Some may have been hoping for special treatment, others may have gave themselves out of fear, still others may have been taken by force. These lionesses (and their daughters) became the Outsiders. Despite most really not liking Scar anyway, Zira was able to galvenize them against Simba by blaming him for their situation, while promising to lead them back to their home. This also explains why they so quickly turned back over, and with such a 'yeah right' additude. On a random note, possible answers to 2, 3, and 4 are stated in 'Tales from the Outlands', arguably the best fan fiction ever written (yes, including CotPL). |
